Giriraj Goverdhan, Braj - Pastimes

Govardhan also called Giriraj descended its name from the Holy Goverdhan Hill. It extends upto 4 or 5 miles and has many sacred sites. Shri Krishna held Govardhan Hill on his little finger to save the town from the wrath of the god of rains Indra. Many divine pastimes places related to Radha Krishn are located at the place.

Location:
Govardhan is located in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, 208km from Delhi. It is one of the main religious places of Mathura.

गोवर्धन को गिरिराज भी कहते है जो की गोवर्धन से निकला है। यह 4 या 5 मील तक फैली हुई पर्वत श्रृंखला है। इसमें कई पवित्र स्थल हैं। श्री कृष्ण ने गोवर्धन पर्वत को अपनी छोटी उंगली पर उठा लिया ताकि वो शहर को इंद्र देवता के क्रोध से बचा सके। राधा कृष्ण से संबंधित कई दिव्या लीला इस स्थान पर हुई।

स्थान:
गोवर्धन उत्तर प्रदेश के मथुरा जिले में दिल्ली से 208 किमी दूर स्थित है। यह मथुरा के मुख्य धार्मिक स्थानों में से एक है।
